General Cat Health and Interest

Cornell Feline Health Center
This is a medical specialty center within Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Its website features online videos on how to administer medications to a cat, brush a cat’s teeth, and other useful cat care demonstrations. The doctors at Cats Exclusive Veterinary Center highly recommend this site.

Veterinary Information Network (VIN)
This website provides reliable and up-to-date animal health information for the general public from the veterinarians and experts from the Veterinary Information Network (VIN), the world's largest online veterinary data base and community. It has a specific cat section you can access from the home page.

American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP)
The AAFP is like the American Medical Association, but for cat doctors. Their aim is to “support professional growth and fellowship by providing outstanding continuing education, research and outreach programs intended to improve the health and well-being of cats.” This site provides information on veterinary conferences, clinical trials, and other issues relating to feline veterinary care.

This page sponsored by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has very helpful information on cat behavior.

Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project
This non-profit organization provides free spay and neuter services and is dedicated to help solve the feral cat crisis in the Puget Sound region.

The Cat Fanciers' Association
The "world's largest registry for pedigreed cats," this site provides information about cat shows, cat breeds, and cat care. Illustrated with hundreds of colorful pictures, the CFA’s web site also offers a bi-monthly publication, a magazine for cat owners and lovers.

The Indoor Cat Initiative
Created by The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, full of helpful tips about an indoor cat’s basic needs and creating the ideal indoor environment to solving behavioral problems.

Feline Disease Treatment

Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment Center
The Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment Center has two locations, one at Cats Exclusive in Shoreline and one in Tacoma. This site describes hyperthyroid treatment and provides an extensive list of frequently asked questions about the treatment.

Feline Chronic Renal Failure Information Center
This is an educational site for owners whose cats have been diagnosed with chronic renal failure. This site is often referred to clients by our doctors and provides caregiver information, medical care options, and links to other feline renal failure informational sites.

Poison Prevention and Treatment

Animal Poison Control Center
Sponsored by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), this site provides information concerning materials that are poisonous to pets, tips to providing a poison-safe home, and hotline numbers for poison-related animal emergencies.

Washington State University
This site provides information about potentially toxic plants commonly found in the Pacific Northwest, as well as links to other resources.

Lost Pets
This site provides links to shelters all over the United States that have pets available for adoption. Users can search for pets by location, age, gender and breed, and then contact their local shelters to pursue pet adoption. Users can also browse Petfinder’s online resource library, post classified ads to relocate pets, and sign up to be a volunteer at a local shelter or pet rescue group.
